The Wilcock Gallery Private Collection
Greetings Art Lovers! My name is Keith Wilcock. Let's start with a riddle.
What famous French general sounds like a kitchen floor after a hand grenade exploded?
Answer: Linoleum Blown Apart 🙂
Since 1978, when my son Joe and I opened the Wilcock Gallery, we have been collecting art. I admit to occasionally cherry-picking two or three paintings when we had a major show. When we closed our storefront in 2015, we had accumulated several hundred choice works of art.
Now that I have turned 84, it's time to let go. I have loved these paintings for many years and when they sell, I will miss the little internal smile they give me when I pass by them hanging on the wall. Paintings are like that. The pleasure they give is a small jolt of joy. But it is a steady and reliable source of pleasure.
The Wilcock Gallery Collection includes the work of some deceased artists, some with well-established national reputations, quite a few from Minnesota; but also, artists from Utah, Oregon, California, and Maryland.
I am a painter too. I have painted with many of the artists we have represented and knowing how to paint assures that the paintings in our private collection are of high quality.
By the word "original", we mean there is only one. The terms "original print", "original reproduction", or "original copy" are oxymoron's.
Please call us if you have questions or want to own a painting or two. We love to talk about art and helping our customers acquire beautiful paintings. (952) 470-8118. Ask for Keith.
